My name is Jordan Ray, I’m 19 years old and I attend Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario in the great nation of Canada.

I’ve been blogging poetry and tidbits from my personal life for a few years now, but more recently I’ve been delving into the realm of current events and, more specifically, politics.

I believe that, in addition to reading, writing is one of the most important ways to continually educate oneself. It doesn’t matter really what one decides to write about; the seemingly tedious events of your day, fictional prose or poetry you have composed, current events, or even just musings on your own life and life in general. Reading and writing in tandem are two vitamins just as essential as the ones my mother tells me I get from oranges and apples. That’s why I do it. Because when I do it, I think it makes me smarter.

On this blog, I do my best to get the facts straight (unless, of course, the piece is clearly fictional), so if I go astray, email me or comment on the post at fault, and I will promptly respond (or at least, respond).
